Welcome to the site where we explore the limits of DIY. The pictures tell much of the story. This pool was designed and built by two brothers, their wives, and other family members. With only a little experience in concrete work, we dove into this project with the enthusiasm and confidence born of naiveté. Many lessons were learned. For the most part things went well, but I'm sure that to anyone with a trained eye, our inexperience shows.

My little brother, Jeff, is no longer with us. He was diagnosed with, and died from lung cancer in the latter part of 2003. The pool and these pages are dedicated to him.
